Online Grading...What's it all about?
You may have been assigned to teach an online course, and you've heard all the stories about how hard, or easy, fun or scary or just plain confusing about how to set-up the gradebook, right? Well, this is the place to get help through a step by step processes! Stick with the steps, or just call for help, and you will have a gradebook in the Angel Learning Mangagement system when you are finished!
Welcome to Angel Gradebook 101, a primer in how to navigate the Angel gradebook to assist you in grading your projects, homework assignments, quizzes and special projects
This website is just part of a larger project to encourage instructors to take an active part in utilizing the online component of teaching and learning for their students.
With the effective rollout of this training process, more instructors, both full time and those of adjunct status, will have better access to formalized training using the Angel Learning Management system. As ‘students’ in this environment, you must be certified as an adjunct or full time Instructor Indian River State College State College, and thus be enabled for sign-on credentials, for access to email and the learning management system.
These lessons teach practical operation and application of instructional tools for teachers to create the optimal learning environment for their students. Online learning components and assessments will emphasize best practices for teaching in face to face, online and blended learning environments.
The effective implementation of the gradebook is important to keep track of grades, create automated functions for the instructor to and provide access to electonic components such as grades for both students and instructors. After each section is completed in the Development shell that has been set up for the instructor to ‘practice’ his course, a review from the course instructor will take place.

Via electronic submission of assignments, students will utilize tools within Angel to deomonstrate mastery of skills to effectively communicate to a classroom of their own while teaching within a variety of learning environments. - Make use of Technology to organize, aquire and convey information:
Lessons and assignments will be delivered and received via Angel Learning Mangement System to organize aquire and convey information. - Appply critical thinking skills through Problem solving: Exploration
of tools within the Angel Learning Management System, requires critical thinking skills to decide which tool is the best application for the specific needs of a
given project.
As ‘students' in this learning environment, use your own log-in credentials as a student at Indian River State College to the Angel Learning Management system, where you will be expected to complete the activities described in each of the lessons and acticities on the following pages. The Links located in the left column of these page will lead you through a sequencial process that will enable you to have a secure foundation for setting up your online gradebook in Angel.
There will also be some video links for you to watch and to assist you in your understanding of the learning and teaching environment of Angel. To insure proper credentials are reviewed before registration occurs, there is no ‘self enrolment’ for this course.
